World Suicide Prevention Day is a day to raise awareness of mental health - with a focus on ‘Creating Hope Through Action’. We’re inviting beneficiaries to join one of our Women’s Health programmes at our centres in October. When Karen Bell received support at one of our centres following a lawnmower accident - which left her with major injuries to her hand - she didn’t realise how much it would benefit her mental health too. Jim Sutherland built his own bike from old parts and cycled from Land’s End to John o’ Groats in aid of us in August, as a thanks for the support his wife received following a shoulder injury and cancer diagnosis. By regularly donating to us, you’re directly helping individuals across our fire services community - both working and retired. People just like Paul and Sue Fisher, who were supported with digital physiotherapy.
