From the London Marathon to cycle rides, charity horse races and farming rallies, you've made October another fantastic fundraising month. Staying active is important when you’re living with osteoporosis – but knowing how to exercise safely, and workouts you can do confidently, is vital. So, why not give this one a go? Staying active if you have, or are at risk of getting, osteoporosis is vital – and there are some steps you can keep in mind to ensure you stay safe and well while doing so. Since April 2020, we’ve logged on to deliver over 10,000 virtual consultations to reach and support members of our fire family across the UK, thanks to your generous donations. Making some small changes to your diet as you age, particularly while going through the menopause – or in the years after – can improve your overall health and reduce the risk of developing a number of diseases.
