Northamptonshire Crew Manager Jamie Thompson was left with life-threatening injuries after a 12.5m fall from a training tower. 10 months later, with the support of The Fire Fighters Charity, this 38-year-old firefighter is literally back on his feet. Devastatingly Hampshire firefighter Steve Holder lost his wife, Sharon last year, after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. However, in her memory he ran an incredible 20 marathons in 2016 to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity Adam Way, 38, is a firefighter in Gosport, Hampshire. A father of one, he accessed the Charity’s services after injuring his back while practicing Jiu-Jitsu, spending two weeks at Harcombe House. After returning, he passed his fitness test and returned to active duties.
