Michele and her husband David, a Watch Commander for Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service visited our centre in Penrith, Cumbria after admitting they had no quality of life. Lindy Leeson has been suffering with depression for the past 7 years but after a visit to our Jubilee House centre, has finally found the coping mechanisms she needs to manage her illness. Jim Walker left South Wales Fire and Rescue Service 14 years ago but is still coming to terms with an incident that led to life changing PTSD. Diagnosed with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, Zoe was unable to work or lead a normal day-to-day life. Supported by her husband Jamie, Zoe spent time on one of our programmes after her condition began to take a toll on family life. Former member of West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue's support staff, Terry Dickens, became negative about life and wasn’t the person she used to be after being diagnosed with depression. Here she talks about how a visit to Harcombe House has helped her.
