Katie Grant took on the 2023 London Marathon in aid of us having experienced our support first-hand. Crew Manager Mark Thompson, who works in Control for West Yorkshire FRS, was supported alongside his wife as they struggled with their mental health after losing two family members in a house fire. For Vicky Shakesby, a Group Manager with Humberside FRS, encouraging her colleagues to get in touch with us if they need a helping hand is incredibly important to her. Here she explains why… Gee Smith, a firefighter with Hampshire & Isle of Wight FRS, has gone above and beyond to spread the word about the importance of looking after your mental health, ever since receiving our support with his own. Thanks to your kind donations, we’ve been able to support Paul Burchett - a firefighter with Humberside FRS – with his physical health and through mounting financial challenges, which in turn had begun impacting his mental health.
