David Gill set himself the challenge of running 8 miles every day for eight years, before upping it to match the length of the equator – an incredible 24,901 miles. Our recycling partners, based in Scotland, organised an incredible dinner event this year with more than 100 guests and two ex-footballers. Jim Sutherland built his own bike from old parts and cycled from Land’s End to John o’ Groats in aid of us in August, as a thanks for the support his wife received following a shoulder injury and cancer diagnosis. Retained firefighter Richard Bowman has completed a gruelling 24-hour mountain bike ride through the Scottish Highlands to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
