First Living Well Group is a success in Wales
The first Living Well Group took place last week at Aberdare, inviting retired beneficiaries to meet and share their experiences of life in the fire service.
The first Living Well Group took place last week at Aberdare, inviting retired beneficiaries to meet and share their experiences of life in the fire service. In Britain, more than one in five accidental electrical fires affect an older person living alone. Case Worker Karen Lane tells us what help is available to beneficiaries to keep safe during the winter. Charity Trustee and Deputy Chair Peter Davies recently attended a reception to receive a cheque donation from the Hospital Saturday Fund on behalf of The Fire Fighters Charity. Arts therapy taster sessions have been trialled at Harcombe House, where beneficiaries were invited to start by simply making marks on a page and seeing where it took them. Beneficiaries will soon be able to get their hands dirty thanks to a pioneering new form of archaeological therapy we are set to deliver in partnership with Soldier On!
