The burden of caring
While caring can be rewarding, it can also feel like a burden. In honour of Carers Week, our Welfare Services Lead Carrie Pearce shares her own experience of caring for her mother-in-law.
While caring can be rewarding, it can also feel like a burden. In honour of Carers Week, our Welfare Services Lead Carrie Pearce shares her own experience of caring for her mother-in-law. This Carers Week, our Welfare Caseworker, Irene Ramsden, tells us why this network of unsung heroes around the UK need more support. Firefighter Adam Tubby has seen the positive impact the Charity can have on firefighters’ lives and, as a way to support us, has created miniature replica fire helmets that are exclusively available through The Fire Fighters Charity online shop. With summer right around the corner, families across the UK are undoubtedly looking forward to spending some quality time together following a difficult year. So we've gathered a few ideas for you to enjoy together this Half Term. Our incredible carers have been working tirelessly over the last year - and we want to say thank you. So join us for a brew and a quiz this Carers Week in honour of them all.
