British Firefighter Challenge 2021
Firefighters from across the world pushed themselves to the limit with a series of endurance challenges at the annual event, in aid of the Charity.
Firefighters from across the world pushed themselves to the limit with a series of endurance challenges at the annual event, in aid of the Charity. Dorset and Wiltshire firefighter, Neil Endicott, joined his 14-year-old son for an epic cycle ride to support the Charity that has been there for him twice during his career. Daphne "Snowy" Snowden is a long-term resident of Marine Court who has just received the British Empire Medal from HM The Queen. We went along to her investiture ceremony to hear what being honoured for her charity and community work means to her. A personalised programme of recovery is coming to Harcombe House in January. Director of Beneficiary Services Sharon Bailey explains why recovery is the philosophy that will underpin all elements of support. Arts therapy taster sessions have been trialled at Harcombe House, where beneficiaries were invited to start by simply making marks on a page and seeing where it took them.
