School opening again can be an anxious time for many – particularly financially. Here, the Charity’s Welfare Services Lead Carrie Pearce reveals how we could support you. We welcomed families from across the fire community – many of whom have children with additional needs - to come together over two weeks at Harcombe House for a much-needed break. Our dedicated Welfare Team have helped beneficiaries with everything from bereavement support to financial hardship, home adaptations, employment and housing issues and much, much more. Our Welfare Services Lead, Carrie Pearce, has highlighted the huge number of young people that are caring for a loved one - often without recognition. Continuing our commitment to Carers Week, Nursing Services Lead Kath Savage spoke to some of the carers from within the fire community to hear what caring means to them.
