Jacqui McDonald ran the London Marathon for us in 2021, after receiving both physical and mental health support throughout her career. Retired firefighter Lee Fisher and his wife Lynne visited Jubilee House for separate injuries. They say having supported the Charity for years, they were able to get the help they both needed when they needed it most. Steve Flint, who works for Staffordshire FRS, has been supported by the Charity - both digitally and face-to-face - ever since being involved in a near-fatal motorcycle accident last year. Stuart and Penny Jackson attended our Child and Family Week at Harcombe House with two of their daughters after a major operation and a devastating health diagnosis. Dan Coward, a retained firefighter, has been forced to spend months off the run since catching Covid-19. Here he reveals how the Charity supported him on a programme dedicated to those struggling with long Covid recovery.

Lee & Lynne: “To get this level of support you’d usually have to be a pro sports player”
Steve: “It can feel like you’re another number in hospital, but the Charity is so personal”
Stuart & Penny: “We’ve seen how normal our family is, even though we’ve gone through difficult times”
Dan: “Coming here has validated the experience I’ve gone through with Covid”
