Diagnosed with a neurological condition , Martin Barker received support at Jubilee House A nasty fall from a step ladder left Annette Smith facing a long road to recovery. A dependant on her firefighter son, John, Annette was able to access the Charity's services. Here's her story. Northamptonshire Crew Manager Jamie Thompson was left with life-threatening injuries after a 12.5m fall from a training tower. 10 months later, with the support of The Fire Fighters Charity, this 38-year-old firefighter is literally back on his feet. Crew Manager Katie Love snapped her anterior cruciate ligament but defied the odds to make a recovery and get back on the run, with a little help from The Fire Fighters Charity.
