Retired Watch Manager, Stephen McArdle, was struggling to manage after fracturing bones in his shoulder, back and ribs in a road bike accident.
Earlier in her career, Sarah Cuthbert visited Marine Court for a recuperation break to help her to address the issues she was facing in her personal life. She left with a newfound clarity and focus, as well as something she wasn't expecting to find there - a husband. After retiring from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service Bob was involved in a serious road traffic collision. Tragically his wife was killed in the accident and he sustained major injuries which hospitalised him for a year. In this interview, Bob tells his story and explains how the Charity has helped him regain his mobility and independence. After injuring his knee, London firefighter Mark Watson had to take time off and undergo surgery. We caught up with him at Marine Court.
