Heather Kent, 15, has no direct connection to the fire service but spent six weeks picking litter in return for donations, as a thank you to fire service personnel she says are the “spirit of their community”. Dorset and Wiltshire firefighter, Neil Endicott, joined his 14-year-old son for an epic cycle ride to support the Charity that has been there for him twice during his career. Daphne "Snowy" Snowden is a long-term resident of Marine Court who has just received the British Empire Medal from HM The Queen. We went along to her investiture ceremony to hear what being honoured for her charity and community work means to her.
