Virgin Money Giving is closing from the end of November, following this year’s London Marathon.

The platform was first created 12 years ago when Virgin Money began its sponsorship of the London Marathon. However, as that sponsorship is due to end this year, VMG will close for donations on 30 November, following the race in October.

The site will remain operational until that date, so all fundraisers currently using it will not see any changes before then. However, anyone looking to fundraise after that will need to look elsewhere.

If you’re hoping to set up a fundraising page after 30 November, there are plenty of options available – many of which you can find in our Fundraising Guide.

JustGiving, Facebook Fundraising and Peoples Fundraising are all great options. JustGiving is the most widely-used platform for online as it’s so easy to use. However, you can only select one charity at a time to raise money for, so if you wanted to split your funds between us and another cause close to your heart, People’s Fundraising might be the better option for you, as you’re in control of the percentage split.

You can find out how to set up a page here.
