We’re so excited to tell you that our brand new Shout!Podcast is now available across all major podcast platforms.
Our new podcast explores the health and wellbeing of the UK’s fire services community, offering unique insight into the physical, mental and social challenges facing those who live and work around the fire service.
From tips to sleeping well and nutrition to advice on dealing with trauma or injury prevention, Shout!Podcast aims to help our listeners live healthier and happier. Released and produced fortnightly by our extensive team of psychological, physical and welfare specialists. Our podcast also offers listeners the chance to share their stories and ask the questions they’ve always wanted to know the answer to.
“We’re delighted to be able to give our beneficiaries and supporters an entirely new way to discover and benefit from health and wellbeing information that is directly relevant to them,” says Head of Marketing and Engagement Tim Beynon. “Each fortnight Shout!Podcast will explore the issues affecting the fire community today. We’ll talk to fire service personnel, clinical experts, beneficiaries, supporters and fundraisers to give our listeners a real insight into the Charity and how we can help them. We also want our listeners to be a part of the show, to share their stories and to tell us what they want us to cover. So please have a listen, subscribe, review us and let us know what you think.”
The first episode of the new podcast includes an interview with Surrey Fire and Rescue Service’s control room Commander, Cailli Anderson, on the mental health challenges of working during lockdown. It also discusses how The we’re helping people through the pandemic; asks why it’s so important to keep talking and reveals how listeners can get involved in a fundraising challenge with a difference.
