Every day, thousands of Control Room staff across the UK face unimaginable situations, become the voice of calm that so many people need in the worst of circumstances, and help organise rapid responses to emergencies that save countless lives.
This week, it’s all about celebrating each and every one of these unsung heroes as we mark International Control Room Week 2022 alongside fire and rescue services across the country.
As a Charity, we are there for the entire fire services community, not just firefighters, including all support staff and Control Room workers in the service right across the UK – as well as their spouses, partners and dependants.
Recognising the incredible work they do every day is hugely important to us – so, we want to say a huge thank you to all of them. Without their heroic efforts, the amazing work of the UK’s fire services simply wouldn’t be possible.
Below are some of the ways different services are marking the week, alongside a few photos of Control Room staff hard at work:
It's #ControlRoomWeek so we'd love you to join us in saying a BIG thank you to all our Control Room staff.
They are at the end of the phone when you need them and behind the scenes of every incident we attend.
Show them some love with a little thank you message or GIF. ? pic.twitter.com/5ihtmXs4GP
