The second episode of our Shout!Podcast is out now, available across all major podcast platforms, hosted by Kim Robson.
Our new podcast explores the health and wellbeing of the UK’s fire services community, offering unique insight into the physical, mental and social challenges facing those who live and work around the fire service.
“We’re delighted to be able to give our beneficiaries and supporters an entirely new way to discover and benefit from health and wellbeing information that is directly relevant to them,” says Head of Marketing and Engagement Tim Beynon. “Each fortnight Shout!Podcast will explore the issues affecting the fire community today. We’ll talk to fire service personnel, clinical experts, beneficiaries, supporters and fundraisers to give our listeners a real insight into the Charity and how we can help them. We also want our listeners to be a part of the show, to share their stories and to tell us what they want us to cover. So please have a listen, subscribe, review us and let us know what you think.”
In Episode Two we take a closer look at the art of relaxation, we ask why it’s so good for us and discover how we should all actually be doing it. In honour of National Carers’ Week we also meet Cathy McBrion and her husband John, to find out how life has changed for the couple since her stroke.
Some incredible recent achievements from our fundraisers and fire and rescue services are also squeezed into our new, two-minute Thank You Two segment and we catch up with former RAF firefighter Mark Latham, to find out how daily meditation and yoga has helped him with his mental health.
