Are you retired and looking to take on a new hobby? Perhaps you’re looking for ways to connect to fellow retired members of the UK fire services community? Or maybe you’d like to try a low-level exercise to help you relax?

Whatever the reason, our new introduction to Tai Chi classes could be just what you’re looking for.

We’re holding a series of 10 weekly sessions over Zoom, as part of our Living Well Groups.

Each session will guide you through the basics – with all abilities welcome – and can be delivered as a chair-based activity if you prefer.

Our instructor, Karen Ferris, has many years of experience in teaching Tai Chi and more recently teaching online. The course will run over Zoom, and you will need to be able to access the class using a tablet, laptop or phone. You will also need some space to move.

The course starts on 29 September and sessions run every Thursday at 11am. (Please note: there’s a one-week break at half term).

We have a maximum of 15 places available, on a first come, first served basis. To sign up or find out more, email our Communities Development Lead, Clare Hannaford, on CHannaford@firefighterscharity.org.uk or call Clare directly on 01626 853 639 or 07970 107 933.
