Heartbreak Productions has generously supported us throughout this summer, through its adaptation of Jane Eyre, raising an amazing £4114.24.
The popular outdoor theatre touring company, which recreates classic productions in outdoor settings across the UK, chooses a charity to support for each of its touring productions every year. And this year, Jane Eyre was dedicated to us.
Before each show, the actor playing Rochester gave an incredibly powerful speech on stage to the audience about the difference their donations would make to our beneficiaries’ lives. The team then held bucket collections throughout, where audience members kindly donated to us.

By sharing more about how we help thousands of individuals in our fire services community every year, the team spread further awareness about our services right across the UK – and we’re incredibly grateful for their support.

Director and Adapter of the production, Emma Hodgkinson, said: “It has been an absolute honour partnering with The Fire Fighters Charity and getting to meet service men and women from up and down the country.
“It has been an incredibly eye opening experience and the importance of what the Charity does has become increasingly clear with each show. As well as the support they provide, it has been particularly moving to see the value of raising awareness for the work our firefighters do.

The cast and crew working on Jane Eyre also began the season by supporting us with their own Brew With A Crew on 28 May at Leamington Rugby Club, which was their rehearsal space.
