Taking a few moments to stop and relax while you’re living with a painful condition such as osteoporosis can really help to re-frame your pain and, subsequently, manage it.

Learning to breathe into it, rather than fighting against it, can make such a difference.

Often we don’t have control over the pain we’re in, but we can still make choices that help us to manage and accept it – and regular short meditations like this one can play a helpful part in that acceptance.

So, to begin, start by finding a position that is comfortable for you, perhaps on a chair with your head resting back, or lying down.

Then, have a listen to our guided mediation and please let us know if you find it helpful in the feedback section at the bottom of the article.

You can contact our Support Line on 0800 3898820 to speak with one of our assessment practitioners about how we might be able to support you, whatever you’re going through, or register for MyFFC and visit the ‘Access Support’ tab.
