June marks Pride Month 2021 and here at the Charity we’re celebrating alongside the entire UK fire service family.
Whether you’re part of the LGBT community or not, there are events and celebrations happening right across the country that you can get involved with – and the fire service are marking the annual event in a number of ways too, including taster sessions, virtual events for staff and flags outside stations.
The Charity’s Director of Organisational Development and Corporate Services, Chris Goonan, says: “We continue to work to be an inclusive organisation where diversity is valued, everyone can be themselves and difference is acknowledged and respected. We support the principles of equity, diversity and belonging.”
Here’s how some of our Fire and Rescue Services across the UK are marking Pride Month:

During the month of June, we celebrate #LGBTQI+ in a number of different ways. Across the globe, events are held during this month to recognise the influence LGBTQI+ people have had around the world & to raise awareness of the injustice& inequalities which still exist in society. pic.twitter.com/7eeCMgGvGW
