Every year, fire and rescue services across the UK pull out all the stops to organise safe Bonfire Night events – many of them in aid of our charity.
And this year, there were some impressive displays – with thousands raised by our supporters.
North Yorkshire FRS once again pulled off an incredible event at Rawcliffe Country Park, with all funds raised in aid of us, while Lancashire FRS organised a quiet fireworks display which was welcomed by the local community – with funds raised split between us and Leeds Hospital.
Meanwhile, Royal British Legion Blackburn raised more than £3,000, to be split between us and the Poppy Appeal, with a firework and bonfire evening attended by around 2,000 people.
Here are just a few of the highlights:
Brilliant to see @LfrsStc charity bonfire & firework event back, bigger, better & quieter! Raising vital funds for @firefighters999 & @leedshospitalcharity. Arlo’s a fan of the quiet fireworks. Amazing effort by volunteers from @LancashireFRS & beyond well done & thank you 👏🔥🎆 pic.twitter.com/N06ifYFrEA
