Elvis & Kresse has donated a staggering £44,698.33 to us in the last financial year, bringing its total donations to date to more than £428,900 – a truly incredible boost to our funds.
The sustainable luxury accessory manufacturer generously donates 50% of the profits of its Fire Hose Collection to us each year, making a huge difference to the support we’re able to continue offering our fire family.
Elvis & Kresse transforms discarded hoses into handbags, wallets, belts and more. The team said of the recent donation: “We have a wonderful long-term partnership with The Fire Fighters Charity, and couldn’t be more proud of how closely we work, and how much fun we have had rescuing and transforming hoses and raising funds.”
Elvis & Kresse first began as the brainchild of co-founder and director Kresse Wesling in 2005, following a chance encounter with London Fire Brigade. Speaking in our Shout!Podcast, she recalled falling instantly in love with its decommissioned fire hose and vowed to not only rescue it, but donate 50% of whatever she made to the fire service.
Our Community Fundraiser, Louise Furneaux, says: “We’re incredibly grateful to Elvis & Kresse for this generous donation, which is particularly special as it coincides with the end of our 80th anniversary year.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly thank Elvis and Kresse for their years of support – without which we couldn’t continue to offer the level of support we do to our fire services community – and to celebrate our valuable, long-standing partnership.”
Once again, a massive huge thank you goes to Elvis & Kresse for its support over the years. You can see its Fire Hose collection here.
