EG Group has donated a huge £34,409 to us after making us its first charity for 2022.
The leading global petrol forecourt retail convenience operator has been collecting donations on behalf of us since the start of January. It has hosted several employee-led fundraising events, collections on its network of forecourt and food service locations across the UK and a number of other activities.
It has also utilised its sites to promote our important work, providing support for thousands of fire and rescue service personnel and their families every year.
This partnership gave our two organisations the opportunity to work together in raising greater awareness of the vital support on offer to the fire services community.
Meanwhile, several staff members from EG Group went above and beyond to fundraise, with a Car Wash, a Valentine’s Day event hosted by Cinnabon at EG’s Head Office in Blackburn, an employee fasting for a day in aid of us and another colleague taking part in the ‘London Winter Walk’ – a 26-mile walking challenge.

“EG Group staff and members of the public have really gone the extra mile to support us over the last four months, and the results speak for themselves. These valuable funds will go a long way towards helping our fire and rescue service community, providing them with the support that they deserve.
