We’ve achieved record-breaking success this year with our January Bag it and Bank it recycling campaign – and it’s all thanks to our fantastic supporters across the UK.
You’ve helped us collect more than 480 tonnes of clothing throughout January from recycling banks across the UK, not only helping to divert it away from landfill, but also raising funds to support our vital work.
Our Sales Manager, Kevin Biles, says: “I’ve been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received this year for our Bag it and Bank it campaign, from both our fire services community and members of the public. This total is a result of all your hard work and the funds raised will make such a difference.
“I’d also like to say a massive thank you to all our recycling partners who work so hard to make this campaign a success every year. We couldn’t achieve these results without you.”
January 2024 total
For the first time ever, we broke a record of more than £100K raised in just one month in our annual Bag it and Bank it campaign – with an exact total of £101,524 raised for our charity from 487 tonnes of donated clothing.
With 997 fire stations involved across 44 Fire and Rescue Services, it truly was a nationwide effort.
