We were proud to unveil a plaque at Jubilee House, our centre in Cumbria, recently – dedicated to former firefighter and committed supporter, Graham Gash. His legacy is already helping the fire services community live well and feel valued. Sue Park has shared some of her memories of her beloved Uncle Pete and Aunt Betty, both of whom enjoyed long careers in the fire service and supported us throughout. Hampshire and Isle of Wight firefighter, Sophie Hodgson – who was previously crowned Mrs Wales - received support following a back injury and says the mental wellbeing benefits along the way helped with her return to the job she loves. Retired firefighter David Marshall shares how we’ve supported him three times since he retired – and why he’d encourage all former personnel to continue donating after they leave the fire service. Nikki Bridges works as a wholetime and on-call firefighter with Hampshire and Isle of Wight FRS. Here, she recalls attending one of our weeks dedicated to single parents at Harcombe House…
