Caz Lee and her husband George, both of whom work for Cambridgeshire FRS, experienced a very challenging two years after a series of bereavements and George being diagnosed with testicular cancer. Norfolk firefighter Mark Westgate went through an incredibly challenging time after losing his mum to cancer and three colleagues to suicide. Here, he shares how our online mental wellbeing programme helped him. Mark Trudgill, a firefighter with Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, received support for his mental health after his son tragically took his own life in prison. He’s now spreading the word about how your donations make such a huge difference. Jamie Shortland, a firefighter with Norfolk FRS, reached out for mental health support following a devastating accident. Now he’s taken on a huge challenge to say thank you. If there's anyone who understands the importance of maintaining social connections when retiring from the fire service, it's Ken Seager. The former Chair of the Charity now volunteers to help set up and run one of our Living Well Groups, a networking group for retired fire service personnel.
