Four Croydon firefighters are taking part in the Red Bull Soapbox Race at Alexander Palace on Sunday 7 July to raise funds for the Charity. We hear why they chose to do so, as well as give you the chance to win two tickets to the event on Sunday 7 July. We are always so impressed with the huge efforts you all go to with fundraising for us. There aren't enough hours in the day to say a big enough thank you, but for now, let us make a start by sharing the amazing things people have been getting up to in the name of The Fire Fighters Charity. You are all wonderful. Kent Fire Control took part in a charity abseil down the Canterbury Fire Station drill tower to raise money for two fire-related charities: The Fire Fighters Charity and the Katie Piper Foundation. Of the 400 people who started the 18-mile trek along Hadrian's Wall last weekend, 100 of them dropped out before the halfway line. And only one of them was doing it in full fire kit, complete with breathing apparatus. Former North Yorkshire firefighter Adam Collins explains his reasons for wanting to push his body to the limit and raise money for two charities in the process.
