As our ageing population increases, so too do the number of people living with dementia and Alzheimer's. There are currently 920,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over a million by 2024. It is estimated that 1 in 3 people born in the UK this year, will develop dementia in their lifetime.
Being kind to yourself is not a concept that comes naturally to many of us, but taking a bit of time out of each day for some self care might just be the best thing you could do for your own wellbeing.
