We have been working with Orcha, the World’s leading health app evaluation and advisor organisation, to provide our beneficiaries with access to a library of reviewed and evaluated health and wellbeing apps. As our ageing population increases, so too do the number of people living with dementia and Alzheimer's. There are currently 920,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over a million by 2024. It is estimated that 1 in 3 people born in the UK this year, will develop dementia in their lifetime.
Being kind to yourself is not a concept that comes naturally to many of us, but taking a bit of time out of each day for some self care might just be the best thing you could do for your own wellbeing. In celebration of Friendship Day, the Welfare team tells us what friendship means to them and how they can help anyone who feels like they don't have a friend in the world. Getting food on the table can be a constant source of worry for someone living with financial hardship. Our Welfare Team can offer a short-term fix, while helping people find long-term solutions for their money issues.
